Topics
- Windows 8
- Is Microsoft copying Apple or is Apple copying Microsoft?
- Both are bringing tablet interfaces to the desktop
- Both are introducing split keyboard designs that are very similar
- Is Microsoft copying Apple or is Apple copying Microsoft?
- People seems to be getting worked up about the new interface
- They seem to think that the new interface is something that will be pushed on everyone as the only way to work
- Things to remember
- There will be many versions of the Windows 8 that will most likely be customized to the hardware that it sits on (there won’t be a windows desktop on the WP8)
- Windows 7 tablet sucks… There had to be something done and the new interface gives many flexibilities
- People seem to be politicians by taking both stands on the topic so that they can say “told you so”
- I don’t personally like the big tile interface for a mouse and keyboard and will likely just use the standard Windows desktop interface on the desktop and laptop. For tablets and phones, the desktop interface makes now sense.
